The Living Fossil - Nautilus

"Nautilus (from Greek ?a?t????, 'sailor') is the common name of pelagic marine mollusks of the cephalopod family Nautilidae, the sole extant family of the superfamily Nautilaceae and of its smaller but near equal suborder, Nautilina. It comprises six living species in two genera, the type of which is the genus Nautilus. Though it more specifically refers to species Nautilus pompilius, the name chambered nautilus is also used for any species of the Nautilidae." Source from Wikipedia.

I'm surprised that I can see the Nautilus in this Aquarium!

As usual, to the end of the journey in the Aquarium, we came to the Souvenirs area...but we didn't buy anything from there.

Recommended Local BBQ Pork at Chuen How Restaurant - ?????, Batu Berendam - Malacca (Melaka).

Chuen How Restaurant (N2.23859 E102.25761) is located along Jalan Merak which is nearby the Commercial area of Batu Berendam, it's easy to spot the shop if you drive in from the main road.
The restaurant is famous with their Local BBQ pork which is different from commonly available in our market. After reading the positive reviews online from fellow bloggers, I decided to give a try...

 photo IMG_20130325_132852R_zpsd38ee53a.jpg
Chuen How Restauant

It was a simple setting just like others Chinese kopitiam (coffee shop).

The owner was friendly and he allowed me to took the photos between stall area...

 The so called 'Highly Recommended' & popular BBQ Pork (??) from Melaka

We ordered :-
*  The Famous BBQ pork with roasted pork.
*  Assam soup with stingray
*  Vegetables
*  3 white rice.

 photo IMG_8431_zpsf7a558eb.jpg
The Chuen How BBQ Pork (????) and roasted pork (??)

 photo IMG_8434_zps9fce779d.jpg
Assam soup with stingray

The BBQ Pork (char siew ??) was well marinated with honey hoisin sauce, with a bit of char, savory and sweet! It was juicy inside with a sticky sweet outside...the char-siew was different from others just because the boss use streaky pork to made it, which is hardly to find within Johor Bahru area...

 photo IMG_8432_zpsb837f515.jpg
The roasted porks (??) were equally good but we felt a bit of regret by ordering this, simply because the BBQ pork was too Delicious! We only concentrated on the BBQ pork and end up left some of the roasted pork on the plate...

The stingray cooked in assam soup was fresh and tasty too! Especially the assam soup was flavorful and the lady boss was not stingy with the soup! We allowed to added more soup that day....

The Damage : RM22.00 for 2 adults 1 child included drinks.

It's really difficult for me to describe the Delicious char-siew (??) in words, you have to discover it yourself! I categorized this BBQ Pork as 'Must Eat Food' and so do the Assam soup stingray to all friends who visit Malacca.
I bet you won't regret it! :)

Night River Cruise at Malacca (Melaka) River (photos sharing)

After our dinner, we continued our next itinerary - Nigh River Cruise on Melaka River. Tickets purchased from the Best Western Wana Riverside Hotel reception and we got RM1 discount on each ticket. The hotel has their own Jetty (N2.19970 E102.24829) just behind the building, it Only accessible for hotel guests. There are 3 times per day that the boat pick up passengers from the hotel's jetty, please check with the hotel staffs for the timing.
Our previous Melaka River Cruise was on year 2008, that was on the day time, so we decided to try it on the night time again...

The first 'colourful' bridge appreared in front of us was the Hang Tuah Bridge...the boat went towards the north direction when it began...

 photo IMG_8354_zps73e7128f.jpg

The lighting was so colourful during the night...then it passed by the 'Eye of Melaka'...

The boat made a U-Turn once it reached the end point and we were cruise down south again...

The colourful Flat along the river...

The boat passed by a block of flat which lighted up with all the colourful florescent tube! This was the most colourful flat I ever seen in Malaysia!

Follow by few bridges that really look nice during the night...

The boat cruise through the colonial buildings and it reached the Popular Hard Rock Cafe of Malacca which is just operated few months ago...

This nicely lighted pathway along the riverside and accompany with the Britsh Era colonial buildings...

The boat turn back and cruise towards the hotel's jetty, that end our 45 minutes Night River Cruise on the Malacca River. It was a total different experience when taking the river cruise on day time and night time...I prefer the night cruise because of the colourful lightings...

Have you try it before?
