D'Shanghai (???) Dim Sum Restaurant at Sutera Mall, Skudai - Johor Bahru.

D'Shanghai (???) Dim Sum Restaurant (N1.51719 E103.67125) is located at Sutera Mall of Skudai - Johor Bahru. If you stand in front of the main entrance of the mall, the restaurant is at the left before the entrance. It's a detach building by it self, and painted with Red which is easy to spot.

There are many good and bad reviews from the internet which make us curious about the place and decided to try it out on one of the Sunday noon...

Nice and cozy environment

All the staffs in the restaurant are very young and I think most of them are having their part time job here, but they were polite...

It's been a long time we haven't take Dim Sum in Johor Bahru area, and without a single word, we placed the order...

We were satisfied with the foods. The Fried Fen Pi was special and it had the springy bite on it, taste good. But the fried carrot cake was disappointed, maybe it doesn't suit my taste...
You have to be careful on the bite of the Xiao Long Bao and Liu Sha Bao, they will 'spurt'! :)

Others were Nice and delicious! All Dim Sums were fresh and it was really enjoy it in the air-con environment, and not forget the friendly staffs around...
Too bad we missed some of the nice foods there like : Taro Dumpling (??) and Fried Avocador Rolls (??????)...because we were overloaded!

The Damage : RM45.00 for the above Dim Sum included a pot of tea. Reasonable enough in this kind of environment and the above average taste, no comment at all! There are some Dim Sum restaurant in JB selling even higher price than here, but in the 'kopitiam' environment...

We will definitely be back again for others Dim Sum in this restaurant!

HoShi Steamboat Restaurant (????) at Taman Impian Emas, Skudai - Johor.

HoShi Steamboat Restaurant (????) (N1.54174 E103.68700) is located along Jalan Impain Emas 5/6, Taman Impian Emas. Which is just 2 doors next to the Blue Bell Budget Hotel beside Petronas Petrol Station.

It has a very simple deco in the shop and with total of about 10 tables...
This was our first time visit this restaurant because of attracted by the soup which is cooked with 8 types of different steamboat ingredients without MSG!

We took the 'standard' serving which is in the photo below. You can have a option not to take the standard serving but replace by the A La Carte menu.

The seafood was fresh and they are serving sea prawns and fishes.
This was one of the Steamboat Restaurant with Full of variety compare with others that I visited before!

They have more than 50 different serving from a simple noodle till New Zealand Rib Eye slices. I was fortunate enough to captured most of the dishes here, let me share with you...

All kinds of 'Balls' here which I cannot remember all of them...fish balls, pork balls, beef balls, cheese balls...and etc.

Overall, we like the soup and satisfied with all the foods. I like the A La Carte dishes very much! Especially the Grilled Smoke Duck, Stir Fried Streaky Pork, Shasimo, Deep Fried Seafood Tou-fu and many more...! Honestly, the taste of the foods and the price is really reasonable!
This is One Of The Nice and Reasonable Steamboat Restaurant around Johor Bahru.

We will definitely be back again for so many dishes we haven't try! And hope the vertilation will be better in our next visit...

Comedy Show in The City Stage of Legoland, Johor.

It was our First time visit the 'City Stage' in Legoland, which just located on the left once you step into the Theme Park and our timing was just right!
The 30 minutes show was just about to begin, it was entertaining...

The audiences area was full once the show started...all came from different country around the World. Great!

She was the First performer, and Awesome!
If I'm not mistaken, she is from Denmark.

Excellent performance!

Followed by a group of comedian to search for something....Dangerous!

The group of comedian at The City Stage, Legoland

The shows was entertaining and it's also a well ventilated area. It's nice to let yourself have a short break with some cold drinks and snacks on the hot sunny day in Legoland. There are few shows time per day, do take note on the white board in front of the City Stage.

Hachiko Japanese Restaurant at Taman Desa Tebrau, Johor Bahru.

Hachiko Japanese Restaurant (N1.55034 E103.79368) is located at the begining (or end) of Jalan Harmonium 24/2, Taman Desa Tebrau which is just behind the Aeon Tebrau City (formerly known as Jusco). I read some positive reviews of the restaurant online and we decided to have our dinner on one of the Saturday evening.

The restaurant was not crowded during our visit. It has a nice decoration and friendly staffs...

I requested for medium and during the beef served on table, it was just perfect! Taste was above average and tender. Not Bad.

The Chicken Teriyaki set for my wife was served with common side dishes but we felt it was more variety than we had it in Johor Bahru Japanese Restaurant. It had the Chicken Teriyaki, Cawan Mushi, rice, fruits, cucumber...etc. The extra was this...additional of 2 small pieces of Shisamo...

Unagi fish with rice

My daughter was enjoyed her Unagi Rice quietly without any complain...I guess she was happy with her meal...:)

Overall, we like the quiet environment with some soft music, and the friendly staff around. It's a good place to dine-in. As for the foods, satisfied! Even the price is slightly higher compare with other Japanese Restaurant in JB, I think it still worth it because of the serving portion.

The Damage : RM99.00 included drinks for our meal above.

It's a nice restaurant and we will be back for more...
